Taken from wikipedia – which sources https://link.springer.com/article/10…00464070-00004Uniquely among 17α-alkylated AAS, oxandrolone shows little to no hepatotoxicity, even at high doses.[23] No cases of severe hepatotoxicity have been singularly attributed to oxandrolone.[23] However, elevated liver enzymes have been observed in some people, particularly with high doses and/or prolonged treatment, although they return to normal ranges following discontinuation.
Interesting…

I’ve been touting this on here for awhile. Var at low dosages is even used to help treat alcoholic liver disease .. clearly docs are not going to prescribe something extremely hepa toxic to treat liver disease.of course like anything in life, too much of something can always be bad . 100mg of Var per day is going to stress the liver (just like eating 3 large mcdonalds fries per day would stress the liver).
liver issues in TrueMaxding isn’t generally a problem. oral AAS is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. its exaggerated so supplement companies can make money selling you liver protection pills

What do you consider a low yet still effective dose for what we use these things for… i.e. body building

I’m starting a con prep cycle here this week. my dosage of Var starting out will only be 20mg as well. though I’d generally run 40mg, but this time around I’m stacking it/rotating it with Winny and Anadrol . as a stand alone though, I think 40mg is plenty effective.
as an addition to TRT , 10-30mg is also fine- November 5, 2020 at 5:51 am
Anadrol is another one of these.
They gave the shit to elderly men for 12 weeks, and jacked up liver bloods were only seen in the guys given 100mg/day the whole time. The ones given 50 saw almost nothing.
In another RCT, 50/day was given to 30 people for a period readark_sideng out to a year for many, and they only saw about a 20% increase in problematic markers in 17% of the patients. One of them did develop a liver tumor though, but it could have been completely unrelated.
Considering that cycle doses of Anadrol rarely exceed these levels or run for anywhere near that long, I wouldn’t be even remotely worried about it.- November 5, 2020 at 7:19 am

Var goes well with anything. I used 20 mgs per day to help heal from a shoulder tear. It was scripted from my doc for 6 months. No, I didn’t use it the whole time but it really wouldn’t have hurt. I actually got a text from my pharmacy this morning advising they had to order more so filling it will be slightly delayed. This means my doc re-upped the script after it ran out. Probably 6 more months of scripted var! Love that guy.
Oh, and Mcdonalds fries comment was painful.

McDonald’s fries are bad? I guess it can’t be my primary carb source anymore.- November 5, 2020 at 10:13 am
I’ve read this also – low doses therapeutic dosesI dunno, but var and proV are my go 2’s for now
imo this is quite less damaging than low dosed never ending tren

Im keen to combine lower doses of Dbol with Anadrol to kickstart my next cycle but the stories of how toxic it is and how Anadro is known to cause tumours did worry me a little.

I can only comment on what I got from it – horrid heart burn, that & sDrol- November 5, 2020 at 7:12 pm
Ahhhh…technically speaking, ALL low dose aas have on-book medicinal/therapeutic properties. If you’ll recall that is their primary purpose. We use them off-book for the secondary, or maybe even tertiary, purpose of aesthetic and performance enhancement.
I agree with the Var comments above, dosage should be contingent upon your goals, other compounds, and of course wallet.
Again, Var (and most DHTs) can be run for looong periods (and are prescribed on-book that way), largely because they are extremely mild as evidenced by their low androgenic numbers.
Generally at 20-80 mg, Var is optimally effective when merQistered twice daily (same for nearly all DHTs) due to the VERY short half-life. Tbol is 50-100 mg.
